I think everybody around me knowes, that I love sports- specially formula 1 and skijumping. Unfortunately skijumping season will be over this weekend, with my personal highlight, the skiflying in Planica (Slovenia)- but when skijumping is over it always means to me, that a new Formula 1 season starts- actually it has started- last weekend, in Bahrain.
1.
ALONSO Fernando (ESP): QP: 4; A quite good race from Fernando- and the new season started like the old had finished- with a victory of him… well, he has quite a lot of work to do in this season, if he wants to make the title again, but I’m sure this first victory was the first little step in this way. No absolutely amazing race, but more than okay, this for sure. I really can’t understand him, why he wants to go to McLaren… this was not clever in my eyes, but it was his decision, and if he wants to have Ron Dennis as boss, he shall go…
2.
SCHUMACHER Michael (GER): QP: 1; Yes, seems as if Ferrari is back- but before the fans of the Scuderia will start to sing songs for the next victory, i would say: wait at least till the next race, because they tested on Bahrain as the only team, and the world can look different in Malaysia then. But anyway, Ferrari seems to have worked a lot during winter break and they are sure much better than last year. If it is enough for the championships… we’ll see…
3.
RÄIKKÖNEN Kimi (FIN): QP: 22; To be honest, i believe in this guy, but that he would come from start place 22 to 3… phew- I didn’t allow myself to dream about that- but what shall I say- Kimi made it possible- really great race, but I saw, that he was not statisfied with it, when he was on the podium. Sure he can’t be- because who knowes which place he would have been, if the car had been better… however, McLaren sucked and this was it.
4.
BUTTON Jenson (GBR): QP: 3; Hm, Button had a quite unspectacular race- he came very close to kimi at the end 0,6 seconds in finnish, but 4th is 4th… there also were closer finnishes in past. I think he could do more, but I think it seems easier for me outside, because if he would have the chance to get better, he would do it I think.
5.
MONTOYA Juan- Pablo (COL): QP:5; Monty, what’s up with you? Okay, maybe Kimi had got the better strategie, because he was full with fuel at the start and he just needed one Pit stop- but how the devil could you make it that your teammate who starts from P22 gets 3rd and you, who started from P5 got 5th? Hm… I won’t say too much about it, because I also don’t know exactly if there was something wrong with the car (even it didn’t seem like that for me)- but however- go on, Juan! I’m looking forward to see a better Performance of you in the next races.
6.
WEBBER Mark (AUS): QP:7; Hm, very similar to Jenson Button- quite unspectacular, nothing really great, but also no mistakes… you can say, that Mark did his Job quite well, but I think he will get problems this year, to beat his young teammate Nico Rosberg.
7.
ROSBERG Nico (GER): QP:12; There was just one mistake in Nico Rosbergs drive today, and this was in the first lap after the first corner, because he crashed with somebody else (I can’t remember now). But after this Nico drove a fantastic race- ladies and gentleman, this man is a rookie, and I really can’t say, that I ever saw such a great race of a new man in formula 1, which I can remember. (I’m quite young, btw: 16
) after a crash Nico had to go for an unplanned pit stopp and I think he fall back at 21st position and he did a great fight to come to the front- he made the FASTEST LAP of all there, and specially his last two overtakes from David Coulthard and Christian Klien were fantastic. I think here is a real good driver developing- what means developing- he actually is one of the best drivers there, I think. I predict him a really great future in formula 1- think on my words, guys, he will be a big once.
(and please- I say this to a german :P- even his dad Keijo Rosberg (better known as Keke) is finnish
)
8.
KLIEN Christian (AUT): QP:8;He made a point- jahuuuu :D- unfortuntely (for him ;)) Nico Rosberg overtook him in the last few laps, but anyway, he was the best of all 4 RedBull cars- also better than David Coulthard, and this was important. You did your job well, Christian, go on like this!
